Discover Zagorje: A Fairy Tale at Hand

Here are some unfiltered glimpses of our favorite Croatian gems. First up is a place especially close to my heart – the region of my childhood memories. Hrvatsko Zagorje (meaning “the region behind Croatia’s hills”) is a charming, county-sized area just north of Zagreb, the Croatian capital. For most of the past 500 years, alongside Zagreb, Zagorje has been at the heart of Croatian history, leaving behind a rich tapestry of heritage. At the same time, it has preserved a Hobbiton-like charm, vibrant spirit, and a unique countryside appeal that never ceases to amaze our guests.
